Swimming Qualifying Times for 2019 Pan Am Games

Official Notice to National Federation Presidents and NF Offices

We want to take this opportunity to provide some basic information regarding the qualifying procedures for the swimming competition at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Swimming Competition Dates  --  August 6 - 10, 2019
Technical Meeting  --  August 5, 2019

• The process for entry will be very similar to 2015.  We will be using the same on-line entry process that was used for the Toronto edition of the Pan American Games;
• The good news is that in 2019 there are more athlete quota spaces available (350).
• The process for having times considered for entry is as follows:  All competitions from March 1, 2018  to April 30, 2019, that are accepted for qualifying times for the 2019 FINA World Championships will also be eligible for qualification to the 2019 Pan American Games.  
• Please understand that your federation is responsible for submitting the results from those FINA approved competitions to the FINA office as soon as possible after the competition.
• Times from Central American American Swimming Championships (December 2017), the UANA Swimming Cup (January 2018) and the Commonwealth Games (April 2018) will be eligible for Pan American Games swimming qualification.
